What this service involves
Probate is a process for asking the Ontario court to confirm or grant authority to an estate trustee and, where applicable, formally recognize the will.
What we consider
Probate is not required for every estate. Ontario provides an optional Small Estate Certificate process for estates valued at up to $150,000.
Preparing for a consultation
Bring existing wills or powers of attorney if any, a general picture of relevant assets and liabilities, names of important family members and decision-makers, and any court or estate documents relevant to the matter.
